What Can I Put Inside My Dumpster?
As we mentioned, our customer service representatives are always available to answer any and all questions you may have pertaining to dumpsters. One of the questions we always receive from customers is what they’re allowed to put inside the dumpster. It’s a good question because not everything can go inside a dumpster. There are certain items we and the landfill can’t accept. When loading your dumpster, it’s important to be cautious of what you’re disposing of. For example, if the item you’re throwing out is flammable, toxic, or hazardous, it can’t be thrown into the dumpster. The same goes for tires, batteries, tree stumps and railroad ties. Additional prohibited items include:
- Paints & lacquers
- Asbestos
- Infectious waste
- Contaminated soils & absorbents
- Ink & resins
- Industrial drums
- Oils
- Food waste
- Fuel
- Adhesives
- Refrigerants
